SiAlON Ceramic Turning Grade
For heat-resistant super alloys, use KS6030 ceramic for finishing to medium cutting and KS6040 ceramic for roughing operations.

- Perfect for semi-finishing and profiling at medium to high cutting speeds
- Prevents burr formation and chipping due to superior notch wear resistance
- Available for milling applications as well
KS6040
- First choice for rough machining of inconel and waspaloy forgings
- Economical alternative to whiskerreinforced ceramics with lower cost per part for roughing operations
- Recommended at lower cutting speeds and higher feed rates than whisker (KXW1)
- Not recommended for plunging operations
